Former DeepMind team launches AI robotics startup with robots that learn from workers

Reimagine Robotics, an AI robotics company founded by former leaders of Google DeepMind’s Applied Robotics team, has emerged from stealth with new technology that allows robots to learn on the job.

The company is developing intelligent robots that anyone can train and use. Instead of requiring specialist programmers whenever a task or production process changes, workers can show the robot what to do, watch it attempt the task and correct it on the spot.

Google DeepMind unveils Gemini Robotics 2 as Apptronik humanoid demonstrates whole-body AI

Google DeepMind has launched Gemini Robotics 2, a new suite of AI models designed to give humanoid and other robots greater autonomy through whole-body control, advanced dexterity and multi-robot collaboration.

The system is being demonstrated on Apptronik‘s Apollo 2 humanoid robot, which Google DeepMind says can now perform full-body autonomous movements, including walking, crouching, bending and manipulating objects, while reasoning through complex tasks in real time.

Faraday Future highlights robotics expansion and shipment milestone at Automate 2026

Faraday Future’s AI subsidiary, FFAI, says it is accelerating its expansion into commercial robotics following its debut at Automate 2026 in Chicago, where it showcased its “one brain, multiple forms” robotics platform and announced progress toward its first-half shipment targets.

The company said its June robot shipments are expected to exceed 100 units, bringing total first-half deliveries to more than 220 units, surpassing its original target ahead of schedule.

At the exhibition, FFAI presented a portfolio of robotics products spanning humanoid robots, mobile manipulators and education-focused systems, built around what it describes as a common Embodied AI (EAI) software platform. Nvidia and Hugging Face expand LeRobot with new open robotics AI tools

Nvidia and Hugging Face have expanded their collaboration to bring new AI models, robotics frameworks and development tools to the open-source LeRobot platform, aiming to make robot development more accessible for the wider robotics community.

The companies announced that Nvidia Isaac GR00T 1.7, an open vision-language-action (VLA) foundation model for humanoid robots, and the Nvidia Isaac Teleop framework are now integrated into LeRobot. Support for Nvidia Cosmos 3, a world foundation model for physical AI, is also planned.

Fujitsu partners with Fanuc, Yaskawa and Kawasaki to advance physical AI using Nvidia technology

Fujitsu has begun working with Japanese robotics manufacturers Fanuc, Yaskawa Electric and Kawasaki Heavy Industries to explore the development and deployment of physical AI across manufacturing, logistics and healthcare.

The initiative will also incorporate Nvidia’s physical AI technologies as the companies seek to develop a collaborative control platform capable of connecting digital systems with robots and other physical equipment.

Fujitsu says the collaboration is intended to accelerate the adoption of physical AI while helping address challenges including labor shortages, an aging workforce and increasing global competition.
